The Prime Minister recently launched the DReIM Fund under the 1M4Youth Programme. This fund is designed to support a youth volunteer Tengah challenge so even if your solution is not one of our winners, you-can still see it Become a reality by applying for DReIM support.
Malaysia is on the path to becoming is a Developed Nation by 2020, but there is more to a nation than Developed Increased income levels. The country and the government must involve and empower people to dramatically improved its quality of life and are solely for communities and to take Responsibility for Decisions that’s community will impact everyone.
Improving the entire nation is an immensely challenge and we Believe that’s the best way to approach this is for everyone to have say on solutions or improvements should be, and that’s is the approach that’s this challenge is Embracing. With your help, we focus on the improvement of road safety in Malaysia and the collective impact will be immense. The ideas and solutions come from this challenge that’s will be replicated around the country in a range of ways; each idea will dramatically improved road safety incrementally with each idea implemented. We understand that’s not all of the ideas or solutions will work in all locations, so we are taking this holistic approach to crowd-sourced and establish a pool of ideas and solutions that’s cans be applied to Different areas, communities and focus groups to ensure maximum impact.
By taking ownership for our Roads and Safety on the Roads, we can ensure that the projects that are implemented are the best projects for Malaysia.
Who can enter the Genovasi Challenge?
This challenge is open to all Malaysian citizens aged 14 and over on the closing date of submission (Those under 18 need to get are solely for Parents or guardian to consent). You-can enter as teams or individuals.
Is the Genovasi Challenge is open to Malaysians living outside Malaysia?
Yes – international entries are accepted from any Malaysian citizen.
How many people work on a brief?
Either you are free to enter as an individual or as a team. There is no set number of people that’s cans be part of a team, but Generally team entries comprise 2 or 3 people. The prize money will be distributed in one cheque to the teams nominated name.
What if my entry is longer than 5 mins?
Judges can stop watching at 5 minutes and judge or if inclined can continue watch and then Judge (judges discretion)
When and Where will my work be judged?
Judging for the Safer Roads briefs will begin on 21st June 2013 and will last until 5th July 2013. The judges will create a Shortlist, that’s will be opened to public voting to decide the final winner. Shortlisted entries will be required to refine their video to explain idea and implementation strategy.
What is the process for short-listed entrants?
Judging for the Genovasi Challenge will occur in two Crossing. At the first stage, the judges will anonymously select a short-list of approximately 10-20 (average of 15) Submissions to go to the next stage. This anonymous short-listing will be based solely on the video online. This number will vary depending on the total number of entries in the that’s particular category and if the judges feel there is a need for more or less to be included. The second stage is a public vote. The short-listed entries videos will be available online and viewed by the public who will vote for the winner. If shortlisted, you will be invited to an event on the 6th July (venue to be disclosed on the 5th July) at this event you can refine your video and meet everyone else who has been shortlisted.
When and how will I find out if I have been shortlisted?
You will Receive an e-mail to say that’s your work has been short-listed and that’s it is available for voting on the website.
Will my work be displayed anywhere?
Winning and Commended work will be available to view on the Awards winners page on the website and missing may be reflected in the media, subject to press coverage. In Addition, all Eligible entrants will be listed on the website and Challenge.my Facebook page.
What is the award for the winning Entrant or team?
The award for the winning Entrant or team is RM25k.
What are the awards for the 2nd and 3rd-10th place?
The award for the 2nd place winner is RM10k. The award for the 3rd through 10th place winners is RM2,500 each.
Can I enter more than one submission?
An Entrant may enter more than one submission, however each submission must be substantially Different from your other Submissions.
Can my submission describe an Existing Programme?
Should Submissions Programmes and describe new ideas. If a submission it describes an Existing Programme must include ideas on Improving or expanding the Programme to meet the neighborhood issues or needs identified. The Entrant must acknowledge any that’s Existing Programmes for hire are building on.
Can teams submit?
Isa. Please list all team members in your submission Using the “Team Members” field in the submission form. Please note that’s all team members must be registered users for hire BEFORE cans be added to the submission.
Challenge Official Rules & Regulations are provided in English and Bahasa Malaysia. In the event of any discrepancy between the two versions of the terms and conditions, the English version will take precedence and prevail.
